A Voice of Reason for Albertans
-
Do you feel that your beliefs and values are under-represented in Alberta’s current political landscape?
-
Do you worry that the UCP has skewed conservative perspectives to the far right?
-
Are you tired of complex issues being reduced to black and white sound bites?
-
Are you concerned about:
-
The years of dysfunction in our health care system,
-
The mess that Alberta’s electricity system is,
-
The pandering to foreign mining companies who will destroy our water supply and mountains
-
The disregard for our most vulnerable citizens,
-
The contempt for transparency in government?
-
-
Are you fed up with Alberta politicians who pick fights with everyone?

Alberta Mainstream May be the Voice for You
We think it is time for Alberta’s government to represent the majority of the people rather than expecting the people to reflect the values of a radical minority.
Our Current Focus
Alberta's UCP Government claw back of the Canada Disability Benefit. This is a totally reprehensible action. Your voice is needed to push for change.
Alberta is the ONLY province taking the new federal disability support (The Canada Disability Benefit) from the people it was meant to help. This July, Canadians with disabilities will begin receiving The Canada Disability Benefit—an extra $200 a month to help offset the rising cost of living. It’s a modest amount. But for many, it means groceries on the table, a prescription filled, or a bit of peace of mind.
But not in Alberta!! The UCP government, under Premier Danielle Smith and Minister Jason Nixon, plans to claw back that federal payment—stripping it away from our most vulnerable citizens. No other province in Canada is doing this. Only Alberta.
